    This hospital is currently seeking two full-time Child and Adolescent Psychiatrists to join their team of dedicated Psychiatrists. This is an exciting opportunity to expand the scope of their Schedule One Adult Psychiatric facility.

    The hospital is a local leader of innovative treatment programs for the acute and chronically mentally ill, servicing a catchment area of over 170,000 residents. The goal is to keep children and adolescents requiring comprehensive care closer to home. The hospital is in the final stages of developing a Child and Adolescent Mental Health Program in collaboration with community and regional partners.

    This new model of care will provide both outpatient and inpatient services for children and adolescents. The mental health community is developing an integrated service utilizing resources from the hospital, schools and community partners

    The Community
    The hospital is located on the beautiful shores of Georgian Bay, minutes away from Lake Huron and just a short 2 hour drive from the Toronto airport.  Their picturesque communities offer an array of cultural opportunities, excellent schools, all-season recreational activities and a great work-life balance.

    Eight psychiatrists, based at the hospital, support the Schedule 1 inpatient service and/or provide consultation to three community-based multi-agency mental health teams. The psychiatrists support a comprehensive range of ambulatory programs including the Crisis Team, Community Outreach Treatment Team, the Assertive Community Treatment Team, Psychogeriatric assessment and treatment, Dual Diagnosis and Aftercare Services.


    • Sessional stipend plus fee-for-service combination for an annual income of $300,000 - $350,000 

    • Relocation allowance

    • Interested candidates should be FRCPC and eligible for a full independent license in Ontario.
    Preference will be given to Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents.
