We are looking for two full-time family physician to staff a collaborative, community health centre in Weymouth, Nova Scotia.
The Weymouth Health Centre (located at 4459 Highway 1, Weymouth, NS) is a fully equipped, modern facility owned by the Municipality of Digby. The Municipality is working to establish a collaborative practice in Weymouth staffed by two physicians and allied health professionals, including a Nurse Practitioner.

Education/Experience: Medical Doctor with specialty training in family medicine. Preference will be given to candidates with general practice experience.
Preference will be given to Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents.
Job duties: provide primary care to patients of the centre, including ordering routine tests, interpreting test results, providing diagnoses and recommending treatment plans, including prescribing medications. As a member of the collaborative care team you will consult, advise and support the care team in delivery of primary care.
Skills required: specialty training in family medicine; ability to work effectively, independently and in a multi-disciplinary team; effective written and verbal communication skills.
